I had my Myki out ready to get onto the bus to GTAC. I got onto the bus it was very cold. We finally got to GTAC. It was so big. It was bigger than my school. We put our bags down and went up the spiral stairs (it made me feel a bit sick when I was walking up them). We entered the room and there were more microscopes then people!
We sat down, the people who were teaching us gave us a piece of paper it had four pictures on it. I forgot three of them but I remembered one picture. Everyone thought it was a virus or a sickness because of the way it looked but when the teacher said what it was everyone was surprised because it was actually pollen.
After that we were split into groups the person my group was working with was named Vi. We looked at a beetle though the microscope and other things like a leaf, pond water, seeds. We were looking at these things to find out where Alfie the dog was going when he was left alone. The most interesting thing that we looked though the microscope was the pond water because it had these little moving things I don’t remember what they’re called or if the person had told us what it was. There was also a spiral thing and again I forgot what it is was called but it looked every interesting and cool and it was also thin. I found that part the most interesting thing I had done that day.
After that activity we got lunch and went to this place in the building and it was showing DNA and how it works and other things like that. It was an animation because they couldn’t make a microscope that was able to see all that but it was still very interesting because they showed what it did but sadly after that we had to go but GTAC was really fun and interesting to me.
