Graduation Reflection

I was nervous and I was in a suit for the first time. We got to legends Bistro. There weren’t many people there yet. The tables were all set out there were drinks, cups and everything. Soon people started coming the tables were filling up fast now. In about 10 minutes the tables were full and everyone was there. There was so much talking. The food started coming I got fish and chips because they were the only things I was allowed to get but it was very nice. After that we got dessert I didn’t really like it but it was okay. When we were all done we left and started walking to school.

We were at school we were lined up in roll order it took about 15-10 minutes until we walked in. there was music playing when we were walking in but I doubt that anyone heard it. We all sat down. First the school captains got up to talk. After they were done the graduation sheets were given out one by one people got up to get it and one by one I got closer to me. I was thinking which way to go the people on my left told me to go left but I was thinking of going right once it got up to me I chose to go right. When it was all done the school captains got up and then Matt come up to present the specialist awards and then Rebecca got up to present the Excellence award the Dux award and the Academic award. It was getting closer to the surprize thing.

We started watching the interviews the four questions they asked was What was your best memory of school, What was your most embarrassing moment, What will you take to high school and What are your feelings about high school. I should have said that the interview was the most embarrassing moment of my life. After the videos Grace came up to give her speech. She was chosen to give her speech by the teachers. After all that all the year sixes went outside to do the dance it was so embarrassing and my mum was recording the whole thing. I know she will never let me forget about the dance. But that night was really fun even if my mum can embarrass me whenever she wants.

GTAC Reflection

I had my Myki out ready to get onto the bus to GTAC. I got onto the bus it was very cold. We finally got to GTAC. It was so big. It was bigger than my school.  We put our bags down and went up the spiral stairs (it made me feel a bit sick when I was walking up them). We entered the room and there were more microscopes then people!

We sat down, the people who were teaching us gave us a piece of paper it had four pictures on it. I forgot three of them but I remembered one picture. Everyone thought it was a virus or a sickness because of the way it looked but when the teacher said what it was everyone was surprised because it was actually pollen.

After that we were split into groups the person my group was working with was named Vi. We looked at a beetle though the microscope and other things like a leaf, pond water, seeds. We were looking at these things to find out where Alfie the dog was going when he was left alone. The most interesting thing that we looked though the microscope was the pond water because it had these little moving things I don’t remember what they’re called or if the person had told us what it was. There was also a spiral thing and again I forgot what it is was called but it looked every interesting and cool and it was also thin. I found that part the most interesting thing I had done that day.

After that activity we got lunch and went to this place in the building and it was showing DNA and how it works and other things like that. It was an animation because they couldn’t make a microscope that was able to see all that but it was still very interesting because they showed what it did but sadly after that we had to go but GTAC was really fun and interesting to me.

International Day of the Girl

Today is International Day of the Girl

What I learnt about it. Lots of girls around the world don’t get the chance to go to school and get a good education and that going to school can change there lives because if you get a good education you can get a good job you can earn money and that could make a big difference in this girls lives. But these girls have to work in factories and they don’t get a good education like everyone else.

What I feel about it. I feel sorry about the girls because they don’t get a good education and a good education can really help them. I thinks its bad that these girls don’t get an education that means they don’t  get a good job and they get paid so little when they work. If they don’t earn enough money that means they cant buy food and other important things that they would need in there future life.

What I might do about it. There could be a day at school when everyone donates to help the girls to go to school and get a good education so they can earn money so they can pay for things and it would be a good experience for the girls because they haven’t had the chance to get a good education.

Team Reflection for Eureka Stockade

We worked well as a team and we all had our costumes ready for the day. We made an effete to meet up on the holidays and some weekends to research and finalize the power point. We tried to match up the pictures to the question on the project. It was hard to find pictures to match all our questions.

We did horrible the first time we presented. We didn’t mess up the second time and got positive feedback like you did better than last time and you had more information then before.

We went to Matthias’ house to rehearse. We all helped to write down the script and we found out who answered what questions. We all did four hours of work on the holidays. We researched about the main people and the main event and how it changed Australia’s identity.

Individual Reflection Eureka Stockade

I did well but I didn’t on my first try. I did well on my second go. The presentation went for a good length of time. The whole group went really good and the presentation went really good.

I could have improved my talking because I didn’t talk very loud when I was talking I could also have answered when Matthias or Mason had stopped talking. I could have rehearsed more because I kept looking down on my piece of paper. It went really good.

We got good comments like you did better than your first go. We improved our talking and spoke a bit louder than my first go. It went really good.

I did really good when I was preparing. I practised all my questions and I bought a tie as a costume and everything went really good. I did a good job when I was presenting.
